Our Client:

We are working with a globally recognised Corporate & Investment Banking organisation, looking for a Team Leader level Credit Officer to join their team on a permanent (hybrid) basis.

The role will require a background in analysis of both Banks and Sovereign / Country Risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team within the 2LOD Credit division
  • Dual coverage across:

1) Country & Sovereign Research – In Emerging Markets and Developed Countries

2) Financial Institutions (Regulated Banks, Central Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds) across Emerging Markets (GCC, Turkey, Africa, Eastern Europe / CIS)

  • Management of a team of c.5 people across the two sub teams
  • Hold a Delegated Credit Authority
  • Reporting into the Chief Credit Officer
  • Covering both the Lending and Securities businesses

Note: This will not cover Corporates

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified
  • Demonstrable experience as a Senior Management grade Credit professional
  • Strong portfolio experience of Banks and Country analysis
  • Proven people management experience

Job Title: Market Risk Analytics & Treasury Risk AVP

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Treasury Middle Office & Market Risk Analytics (TMO), this role provides support for all Treasury Middle Office processes and reporting functions within a global investment bank.

The successful candidate will assess and enhance the market risk control framework, ensuring risks are effectively monitored. This role requires an in-depth technical understanding of market risk control and the ability to meet evolving risk and regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and improve the TMO control framework, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and management of market risks in alignment with the bank’s strategic goals.
  • Support the development, implementation, and enhancement of Asset and Liability Management (ALM) market risk measurement tools, systems, and processes across the bank.
  • Generate and review TMO analysis and reporting, with clear commentary that enables non-technical stakeholders to understand complex market risk exposures and insights.
  •  Ensure that all market risk management processes adhere to regulatory requirements, providing timely reports for auditors and senior management.
  • Provide ongoing support for the Treasury Middle Office, including process rotations to gain comprehensive knowledge across TMO and liquidity processes.

The Requirements:

  • Degree qualified, preferably in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong background in market risk management, particularly in Treasury and ALM environments.
  • Proficiency in financial markets, risk methodologies, interest rate modelling, Value at Risk (VAR), and other complex financial risk modelling concepts.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory requirements, International Accounting Standards, and best practices related to market and treasury risk management.
  • Arabic speaking would be a plus
